The world’s first AustralAsian Odyssey from India to Australia. For the first time, an Indian girl rides solo from Bangalore to Sydney crossing 10 countries. She attempts to create a record in the ‘India Book of Records’.

  • A solo Indian girl on a motorcycle journey riding across India, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Australia.
  • Riding about 25,000 kilometres in 5 months on a Bajaj Dominar.
  • Making a difference as she goes as part of the #Changeyourworld project.
  • Attempting to create a record in the ‘India Book of Records’ to be the first Indian girl to complete a solo ride across Asia to Australia.

Bangalore to Siliguri
  • This leg will last for 15 days.
  • Ride along the east coast of India for approx. 2,500 kms.
  • The major towns covered include are Anantpur, Vijaywada, Vishakapatnam, Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata and Siliguri.

Siliguri to Moreh
  • This leg will last 12 days.
  • The route will pass through the hilly terrains of Patkai Range, consisting of three major hills The Patkai-Bum, the Garo-Khasi-Jaintia and Lushai Hills. As part of the north east leg the ride will cover the Garo-Khasi-Jaintia hills.
  • The ride will be during peak monsoons across steep hills and possibly washed up streams and roads.
  • The northeast range is approx 1,300 kms up till Moreh.
  • The major towns to be covered are Bongaigaon, Guwahati, Shillong, Cherrapunjee, Silchar, Imphal and Moreh.

Moreh to Timor
  • This part of the journey will last for 75 days.
  • The ride will cover 9 countries in South East Asia. These include Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Timor.
  • A part of the journey will cover the steep hills of Patkai-Bum in Myanmar and the India–Myanmar–Thailand Trilateral Highway.
  • The distance of the entire South East Asian region is approx 10,000 kms.

Darwin to Sydney
  • This part of the journey will be covered in 30 days.
  • The ride will cross the west coast through Katherine, Kununurra, Broome, Auski Tourist Village, Meekatharra, Perth, Augusta, Albany, Norseman, Eucla, Ceduna, Adelaide, Port Fairy, Melbourne, Tallangata, Jindabyne, Canberra and Sydney.
  • The distance covered will be around 9000 km.
  • This route covers great beaches, with water as clear as glass.

She has ridden in 5 continents and multiple countries with the highlight being a 7 month ride across 22 states in India covering 32,000 km in 2015 & 2016. She has published multiple blogs and articles about her journey and has been featured in digital publications across India and abroad.

With more than 13 years of biking experience, Candida is looking to widen the horizons for Indian bikers and biking communities and invite them to life changing journeys across the world.
