1. In its first month of sales the Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si sold 20,668 units, possibly making it the 2nd largest brand in the 125cc+ motorcycle segment after the Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i.
   
2. In this 125cc+ motorcycle segment Bajaj sold 80,164 units comprising the Platina 125 DTS-Si, the Discover 135 DTS-i, the XCD 135 DTS-Si, the Avenger DTS-i, and the Pulsar DTS-i, thereby continuing its leadership therein with approximately 40% market share.
   
3. To further strengthen its leadership in the 125cc+ motorcycle segment, Bajaj will launch 4 product upgrades in April’09.
   
4. Lower 3-wheeler sales continue to reflect the subdued state of the commercial vehicle industry.
   
5. Exports are expected to continue to be slow through this quarter relative to the first 3 quarters of FY09.

Bajaj expects to close with exports of approximately 775,000 units, representing a volume growth of 25% over the export of 618,341 units in FY08.
