A degrowth of about 13% in the 100cc segment offset stable sales in the 125cc + segment, resulting in an overall degrowth of 10% for the motorcycle industry. |
2. |
Aided by strong sales of the XCD, Discover, Avenger, and Pulsar, Bajaj continued to dominate the growing 125 cc + premium motorcycle segment with a market share of approximately 50%. |
3. |
Furthermore, motorcycle exports at 50,894 units have been the highest ever. Bajaj expects exports to continue to fuel growth, thus mitigating the currently lackluster domestic market. |

4. |
3-wheeler sales continue to suffer from poor domestic demand; here too exports is expected to more than compensate. |
