Bajaj recorded a growth of 22% in Motorcycles, growing faster than the industry growth rate of about 15%.

3 wheelers recorded a growth of 30% compared with the October 2005 figures.

Exports recorded a healthy 77% growth over October 2005 levels.

Motorcycle domestic retail sale (sale from Dealer to Customers) is estimated close to 3.5 lakh units, about 100,000 units more than Company’s Billing to Dealers (included in the data tables). Billing was lower due to production constraints owing to Diwali Holidays.

Based on outstanding high demand for Platina, Discover and Pulsar range of products, we expect buoyant sales in November and December.

With success of the up-graded Mega and strong exports, 3-wheelers are expected to sustain good volumes currently achieved.

Bajaj is on its way to record its highest ever quarterly volumes in its history during the October – December quarter.
