September 2005 was a record month for Bajaj sales in the following respects :

  1. Highest ever 2- & 3-wheeler sales at 218,012 units.

  2. Highest ever sales of the Bajaj Wave DTS-i at 7,561 units; expected to reach 10,000 units in October'05.

  3. Segment leading sales of 105,952 Bajaj CT100; capacity constraints due to non-availability of tyres will be overcome in October'05.

  4. Highest ever sales of the Bajaj Discover DTS-i at 35,441 units; expected to reach 40,000 units in October'05.

  5. Highest ever sales of the Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i twins at 35,997 units.

  6. Highest ever sales of the Bajaj Avenger DTS-i at 3,036 units; expected to reach 4,000 units in October'05.

  7. Highest ever sales of Bajaj motorcycles at 180,926 units.

  8. Motorcycle and 2-wheeler sales grew significantly higher than the industry growth rate; motorcycle market share expected to be over 31%.

  9. Motorcycle capacity will be 200,000 units / month from October'05.

  10. Sales of 23,118 3-wheelers driven by strong demand for the Bajaj LPG and CNG 3-wheelers.

  11. Third highest exports at 23,463 units owing to strong demand from all major markets.
