  • BAJAJ MOTORCYCLES CONTINUE TO LEAD SALES AND MARKET SHARE GROWTH FOR THE 5TH CONSECUTIVE MONTH.

On the back of simultaneous success across its brand new product portfolio including the Bajaj CT 100, the Bajaj Discover DTSi and the Bajaj Pulsar DTSi, Bajaj continues to grow sales at approximately twice the industry growth rate for the 5th consecutive month. Market share in this period has thus increased from 23.1% to 29.3%.

In anticipation of the continuation of this all round success, Bajaj is expanding its motorcycle capacity to 200,000 units per month in 2005-06.

The sales of Bajaj motorcycles for FY 2004-05 is expected to be almost 1.5 million units, a growth which at over 40%, is almost twice that of the motorcycle industry.

Bajaj expects to introduce new motorcycles at key market positions during April-September 2005 to further accelerate its motorcycle growth.
