  • 2. Go wild at Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary

Get ready to cross over to the wild side. This sanctuary, is just 50 km away, so hop on and take the road through Narengi – Chandrapur, so you can have a leisurely hour’s ride by the magnificent Brahmaputra and some scenic villages. The ride is smooth for the most part, but once you reach the Pobitora complex, the route is rocky and undeveloped, so watch out! Ask your wife to hold on tight and carefully navigate those potholes.

When you get to the Sanctuary, you’ll see it is cool, green, lush and bursting with wildlife. Go on a safari to see them all, and then book a room near the entrance to make this an entire weekend in the wild.
