to deliver consistent & trouble-free performance, therefore we urge all customers
to avail all scheduled services on time within stipulated limits. | | | | |

Terms
& conditions 1
Pre-Condition In
order to maintain the validity of Extended Warranty, the vehicle must be serviced
by an Authorized Bajaj dealer /service center in accordance to the following service
schedules - During basic warranty

Service
records Maintenance
of all service records in the space provided in the owners manual and extended
warranty manual is a must. Getting the service records properly endorsed with
date of service & kilometers covered etc. should be ensured by customer. For
their own protection, customers should retain service invoices /documents for
inspection by servicing dealer. In case the service record /manual is lost, the
customer will be responsible to buy duplicate manual at his/her own expense, update
the same from the servicing dealer /channel and produce to avail any service. 2
Period of Cover a.
EW Plan A Two years or 20,000 km, whichever occurs first from the commencement
date to a maximum run of 50,000 km. The plan will commence immediately after the
expiry of basic warranty of 24 months or 30,000 km whichever occurs first from
the date of vehicle purchase b.
EW Plan B One year or 10,000 km whichever occurs first from the commencement
date to a maximum run of 40,000 km. The plan will commence immediately after the
expiry of basic warranty of 24 months or 30,000 km whichever occurs first from
the date of vehicle purchase 3
Warranty Obligation Bajaj
dealer will repair or replace, part or parts thereof as may be found, on examination,
to have manufacturing defect, free of charge, with in extended warranty coverage
period as stipulated above, subject to the fulfillment of terms & conditions. Quite
simply the extended warranty means that for any failure of a mechanical or electrical
part or part/s-of-part, for a reason other than wear & tear, aging or negligence,
the defect will be addressed by repair or replacement of part or component only
free of cost under extended warranty plan 4
Transfer of warranty The
extended warranty plans are non-transferable and will not be valid to second owner. 5

b What is not covered? *
In the event of failure during first year, it is to be claimed with respective

& electrical breakdown caused by overloading, strain, overrunning, freezing,

pressure, short-circuiting, heating | | c. | Improper
handling, dismantling, fitting, repair, alteration, modification, fitment of any
performance accessory or parts not approved by the Bajaj Auto Limited or the parts
of vehicle which has been used for anyform of motor sport /competition etc. | | | | d. |
Routine maintenance service including cleaning, polishing, minor adjustment, engine
tuning, carbon cleaning, wheel alignment, wheel truing, tyre rotation | | | | e. | Damage
due to poor, incorrect, incomplete periodic maintenance, insufficient care or
use of spurious parts | | f. | Insignificant
defects, which do not affect the functions of the vehicle such as sound, vibrations
and oil seepage | | g. |
Any damage, scratches, loss of paint gloss etc. due to misuse, abuse, neglect,
accident, theft, flood, fire, air borne | | h. |
Parts subjected to normal wear & tear and aging including spark plugs, Hi-tension
cords, clutch, shock absorbers, fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, rubber seals,
brake pads, brake linings, clutch/ accelerator/brake cables, bulbs, fuses,
fuel hoses, tyres, batteries, glasses, lenses etc. | | i. | All
consumables including all lubricating oils, greases, shock absorber oils, fluids
etc. | | j. | Rusting
of sheet metal parts, silencer & catalytic converter | | k. | Any
legal liability, consequential loss, damage to third party occupants | | l. | Any
damage/malfunctioning caused by use of bad quality/adulterated fuel to the fuel

Disclaimer of consequential damage BAJAJ
assumes no responsibility for loss of vehicle, loss of time, inconvenience or
any other indirect incidental or consequential damage resulting from the vehicle
not being available to the owner on account of any defect covered in this extended
warranty plan. 8
How to make a claim | In
the event of occurrence of any breakdown, the owner must: | | a. | Take
all steps necessary to minimize the extent of loss | | b. | Inform
the nearest Bajaj dealer and arrange to bring the vehicle to the dealer's service
center on his/ her own cost | | c. | Produce
extended warranty manual having completed service records to enable the dealer
to examine the vehicle and establish the cause of defect or breakdown | | | | d. | Undertake
to pay the cost of parts or repairs, which are not covered under this warranty
or pay the entire cost of parts or labor if the cause of breakdown is not covered
under this warranty | | | | e. | The
dealer will issue invoice for Parts or repairs, which are not covered under this
warranty. |
Failure
to produce proper service records or comply with requirements may lead to refusal
of warranty benefit. 9
Who is authorized to accept extended warranty claims For
convenience of neighborhood service, customers can avail the scheduled services
at dealer workshops, Authorized service centers and dealers' secondary service
channels like Urban & Rural Service Outlets. In the event of claim, customer
will be required to bring the vehicle to any Bajaj dealer workshop or any select
Authorized service center. While dealers' secondary service channels are not
authorized to offer any replacement of parts or repairs etc. under this extended
warranty, however they will extend other possible assistance and guidance. 10
General terms and conditions | The
proposal form is the basis of, and forms part of the contract between Bajaj Auto
Limited and customers for the extended warranty of the vehicles shown on the registration
form/ Extended warranty Certificate. This booklet is to be read as one document
and any word or expression used with a specific meaning has the same meaning wherever
it appears: | | a. | This
extended warranty covers only the failure of a mechanical and / or Electrical
part for a reason other than wear and tear, normal deterioration or negligence | | | | b. | Customers
should strictly follow the recommendations of Bajaj Auto Limited to ensure that
their 2-wheeler is maintained in a perfect running condition in which it has left
the factory and specifically ensure that you adhere strictly to the service schedules
and have the vehicle serviced by Bajaj dealer/ Authorized Bajaj service center

dealer /service channel is not liable for loss or damage resulting directly/ indirectly
from | | | i) | Natural
Calamities like earthquakes, volcanic, flood, and tidal waves | | | ii) |
Pressure waves created by supersonic aircrafts | | | iii) |
Revolution or mutiny, any intentional or malafide act of owner, abuse of the vehicle,
negligence | | | iv) |
Usage of vehicle in competitions, motor sports, transportation, goods, or hire
as a taxi. | | | v) |
Lack of servicing in accordance with 'Bajaj Auto Limited' recommendations. | | | vi) |
All external causes such as accidents, bad weather, fire, theft or attempted theft,
collisions, freezing or heat. | | | vii) |
Improper repair or servicing, the fitting of unauthorized replacement of parts
and / or any modifications not approved BAL. | | |
| d. |
The extended warranty plan has no surrender value, no refund of extended warranty
plan price is available and it cannot be transferred to another vehicle | | | | e. |
No liability will be accepted for any mechanical / electrical breakdown if not
notified to the dealer immediately after the relevant fault has become apparent | | | | f. |
Failure to maintain the odometer in working order or disconnecting or tampering
with it will invalidate this Extended warranty | | | | g. |
No liability will be accepted for any losses covered under an accidental damage
or road risk policy or for any road hazard/ fire or accident damage. No liability
of any kind exists in respect of their part | | | | h. |
No liability will be accepted for damage caused by neglect, intrusion of foreign
or harmful or injurious matter, lack of servicing, overheating, freezing or abuse
to the continued use of the vehicle after a fault has become evident or for consequential
loss on the failure of part of parts not covered by this Extended Warranty | | | | i. | No
liability will be accepted for any failure due to wear and tear, components incorrectly
fitted from any outside agencies or any effect of an inaccurate previous repair
or faults or parts of faulty manufacture / design and alterations / modification
from the BAL specifications. | | | | j. | In
the event of loss/ damage of this manual, customer will be fully responsible to
buy the duplicate manual with adequate proof for the loss/ damage and paying the
requisite charges and get the same updated from servicing dealers/ centers.
Dealer will forward the request to Bajaj Auto Ltd. for issue of such duplicate
manual, which will be delivered by Bajaj Auto Ltd. through the dealer to the customer. | | |
